EXPLAINER / SMART RINGS

What a smart ring really costs over time

A practical guide to hardware prices, recurring membership and the assumptions in a total cost comparison.

Start with the period you expect to use it

A purchase price tells you what you pay at checkout. An ownership estimate adds the recurring charges you expect to pay while using the product. Our calculator lets you compare a consistent period across every ring.

A membership is a billing commitment

Monthly and annual billing can produce different cash costs. An annual charge covers a full billing period, even if your chosen ownership window ends earlier. Our calculation does not assume a partial refund.

The calculator compares uninterrupted monthly billing with uninterrupted annual billing. “Best value” chooses the cheaper of those two options. It does not simulate switching plans.

Compatibility comes before a saving

A lower price is only useful if the product works with your phone. Incompatible products remain visible for comparison and carry a warning. They cannot become the cheapest compatible option.

Read the assumptions and follow the sources

These are baseline estimates, not live checkout quotations. Taxes, delivery, discounts and optional services are excluded. Hardware prices, membership terms and availability can change.

The product table shows verification status. A pending date means the fact has not completed our official-source review; it is not a claim of current verification.

Cost is one part of your decision

The lowest ownership cost is not a recommendation that a product is best for everyone. Use the comparison to understand the financial difference, then review the official compatibility and product information.
